About

R10 is an event that will take place in 2026 where RSVPing welcomes the participant to create their own music visual. Participants search for a song that then creates a real-time visual featuring many layered WebGL shader effects including distortion, color manipulation, trails, edge detection, and 3D noise—all synchronized to the music's frequency bands.

There is a preview in the browser, but the final render is generated by a cloud GPU instance to make creation as accessible as possible. The shader pipeline analyzes audio via FFT, extracting bass, mid, and high frequencies to drive visual parameters. A ping-pong framebuffer system creates persistent trail effects, while mathematical functions control rotation, scale, and distortion intensities.

Artist's Intention

R10 explores the nature of participation in an event, and how that can begin at its inception. A music event by nature is a collaborative experience but we often feel separated as consumers in the crowd. Empowering people to create a piece of art that is connected to music they enjoy and symbols they feel connected to creates an embodied experience that will influence how they subsequently experience the actual event itself.
